Pool Captains is the name of the application shown in Intuit-facing app listings and connection screens. Internally, the QuickBooks connection is used through Deckhand, Pool Captains' internal operations software. The connection lets authorized users view accounting data in an internal dashboard. It is read-only, and the App never writes to QuickBooks.
This public page explains how to end the connection. Within Pool Captains, the company owner controls the connection.
1. Sign in to the Deckhand portal using the authorized owner account. The portal requires a login and two-factor authentication.
2. Go to the area that manages the QuickBooks connection.
3. Use the available control to disconnect QuickBooks and follow any confirmation prompt.
Deckhand's interface may change, so the exact navigation and control labels may vary. If the connection controls are not visible, contact team@poolcaptains.com.
1. Sign in to QuickBooks with an account authorized to manage connected apps.
2. Open Apps or Apps & integrations.
3. Find Pool Captains.
4. Choose the option to disconnect or remove the app, then follow the prompts.
QuickBooks labels and navigation may vary by product version. Removing the connection does not delete the underlying accounting records held in QuickBooks.
After disconnection, the App stops reading QuickBooks and stops using the connection tokens to retrieve QuickBooks data. The App does not store payment-card numbers or bank account numbers; those numbers do not touch Pool Captains' servers through this integration.
